Yet, God says, “My ways are not your ways, so above your ways are my ways.” Jesus passed through the locked doors and he said, “Peace be with you.” He didn’t ask for an explanation: “Why did you abandon me?” He didn’t speak words of judgment: “You ingrates!” He didn’t ask for an apology. He didn’t crush them in revenge. He didn’t demand justice. He merely appeared, in their midst, and declared “Peace be with you.”
