St. John’s Cemetery seasonal closing
With the arrival of autumn, St. John’s Cemetery is being prepared for winter closure.
People are kindly requested to remove any items from the area around graves by Saturday, October 28. Staff and volunteers will be conducting a grounds clean-up to discard any remaining items the following day.
The cemetery will close to vehicle traffic on November 17, weather dependent.
St. John's Cemetery is located on Isthmus Road in Rumford, approximately 0.3 miles from the intersection with Hancock St/Rte 120.
The cemetery is owned by the Roman Catholic Bishop of Portland, in trust of Holy Savior Parish. The parish preserves and protects St. John's Cemetery as a peaceful, beautiful, and histoic area respectful of our deceased loved ones.
