Browsing Following Jesus In The Foothills

5th Sunday in Ordinary Time (Sunday Message)

It doesn’t take much salt to make food taste better. But you’re likely to notice if there is no salt. Likewise, it doesn’t take too many trail markers to mark out a trail. But you’re likely to get lost without them. What Jesus is saying is that as his disciples, we are meant to be the light of the world, the trail markers, people who help others to discover a deep, dynamic, personal relationship with God in Jesus Christ. And it doesn’t take much. Like salt, a few disciples, can make a big difference and change the world. But like, trail markers, without Christ’s disciples, the world runs the risk of getting lost.
